Lily and I went to Des Moines, Iowa last weekend for my friend Kerry's wedding. Lily was a great age to travel and she loved the train at the Denver airport and loved the airplane ride. Our hotel had an indoor pool which was visible when checking into the hotel. Of course we had to swim immediately and thankfully we had time before the rehearsal dinner. Kerry and her daughter, Karigan, and her mom joined us in swimming at the hotel pool. Karigan was so good with Lily and although it took a little while for Lily to warm up she loved being around Karigan too. Lily was great through the rehearsal dinner but crashed hard that night. She zonked out and slept hard until morning. The wedding was beautiful, Kerry, the bride was gorgeous. She married an amazing guy, who not only loves her but Karigan too.
The wedding was a little reunion for Kerry, Melissa, and I. We grew up on the same street in Jefferson and have remained best friends for over 30 years. We all have little girls (Mel's little girl is Gracie) and last we spent a girl weekend together with all 6 of us was 2 years ago. It was fun to get the girls together for a weekend and of course I took a lot of pictures!
